Textile Art @ the Guild

TAG represents both established and emerging artists under the auspices of the Embroiderers Guild, Victoria.

Through an appreciation of traditional and contemporary techniques, and a love of textiles, we aim to inspire, support, inform and network together.

Our mission will be shared through monthly meetings, exploring creativity and skills, culminating in biennial exhibitions, demonstrating the breadth of excellence in contemporary textile and surface design.

TAG's biennial contemporary textile art exhibition
is one side of its misson,
held in odd-numbered years 2009, 2011, etc.

TAG's monthly meetings, are usually held on the first Monday of each month at 7.30 pm. Most meetings have a well-known guest speaker, but some are less formal presentations from emerging textile artists, often from our own Guild.

Come and join us. You will be inspired.

Jane Dunnewold (USA) - Art Cloth
Jane was one of the exhibiting artists in our “Fabricate 08” invitational exhibition. It is fortunate that we can meet her so soon after this event and follow up with further insight into the Art Cloth international movement.
